The Soul Immigrants return to their Jazz Funk roots on this their new single available on 45 vinyl only released by Burning Sole Records Basel Jan 9th 2023

Their last Vinyl single ‘Yard Of Hard ‘ Ft. Fred Wesley was more of a P-funk affair. However this new one ‘ Blame It On The Endgame’ retains a strong feel of groove and hard driving interlocking rhythms featuring blistering flute and some classy slap bass over some succinct and soulful vocals.
Emrys stated ‘ I wanted to go back to my teenage Jazz Funk years where I was blessed to have played with The Funk Ambassadors ( JB’s U.K. backing band) and Gil Scott Heron’s bass player, Robbie Gordon AKA The Secretary Of Entertainment.This track harks back to those days and also gives a nod to Brian Jackson ( flute wise )

The B side is a more greasier affair with a healthy nod to the likes of The Mohawks, Booker T & The Mg’s and The Meters. It features Stone Foundation’s trumpet player, Dave Boraston as special guest.
